The company then adds value to the Milk by processing it into milk and Milk-based products, using manufacturing units that have been authorized to produce goods under the Banglar Dairy brand. The products produced under the Brand ‘Banglar Dairy’ are sold to the end consumers through Sales Intermediaries. The following are the different types of sales intermediaries:

1. Distributor: Distributors serve as intermediaries between manufacturers and various sales channels. They purchase products from manufacturers and distribute them to wholesalers, Local Area Distributors (LAD), licensees, franchisees, retailers, institutions, modern sales, and eCommerce platforms. Operating at a B2B level, distributors exclusively handle MDC/BDL branded products, utilizing their vehicles for logistics.

2. Local Area Distributors (LAD): Local Area Distributors (LAD) operate at a B2B level, acquiring products from manufacturers or distributors and distributing them to licensees, franchisees, retailers, institutions, modern sales, and eCommerce platforms within a specific local area. They rely on local arrangements for logistics, exclusively dealing with MDC/BDL branded products.

3. Wholesaler: Wholesalers act as intermediaries between manufacturers or distributors and various sales channels. They purchase products and distribute them to licensees, franchisees, retailers, institutions, modern sales, and eCommerce platforms. Unlike distributors, wholesalers operate at a B2B level without exclusivity, potentially dealing with other branded products.

4. Franchisee Retail Outlets/Mobile Outlets: Franchisee Retail Outlets/Mobile Outlets operate at a B2C level, acquiring products from manufacturers, distributors, LADs, or wholesalers and selling them directly to consumers, institutions, eCommerce, and modern sales. With no logistics required, these outlets exclusively deal with MDC/BDL branded products.

5. Free Outlets: Free Outlets function at a B2C level, acquiring products from manufacturers, distributors, LADs, or wholesalers and selling them directly to consumers, institutions, eCommerce, and modern sales. They operate without exclusive agreements, potentially offering other branded products.

6. Mini Dairies/Milk Booth: Mini Dairies/Milk Booths operate at a B2C level, acquiring products from manufacturers, distributors, LADs, or wholesalers and selling them directly to consumers, institutions, eCommerce, and modern sales. These outlets exclusively handle MDC/BDL branded products.

7. Kiosk (MDC): Kiosk (MDC) operates at a B2C level, acquiring products from manufacturers, distributors, LADs, or wholesalers and selling them directly to consumers, institutions, eCommerce, and modern sales. These kiosks exclusively handle MDC/BDL branded products.

8. Kiosk (Joint): Kiosk (Joint) operates at a B2C level, acquiring products from manufacturers, distributors, LADs, or wholesalers and selling them directly to consumers, institutions, eCommerce, and modern sales. Like other outlets, they exclusively deal with MDC/BDL branded products.

9. Insulated Tank Point (I.T. Point): Insulated Tank Points operate at a B2C level, acquiring products from manufacturers or distributors and selling them directly to consumers, institutions, eCommerce, and modern sales. These points exclusively handle MDC/BDL branded products.

10. Institution (Govt.): Institutions (Govt.) procure products from manufacturers, distributors, LADs, wholesalers, licensees, franchisees, C&F agents, modern sales, and eCommerce. However, they are not involved in resale and determine their preferred supply points without exclusivity. Examples include defence, navy, and government-owned organizations.

11. Institution (Private): Similar to government institutions, private institutions purchase products from various sources for their own use without resale. They decide on their preferred supply points, and examples include private hospitals like Woodlands Hospital and Apollo Hospital.

12. C&F Agent: C&F Agents act as intermediaries between manufacturers and various sales channels, including distributors, LADs, wholesalers, licensees, franchisees, retailers, institutions, modern sales, and eCommerce platforms. They operate at a B2B level, utilizing their own vehicles for logistics and may deal with other branded products.

13. Modern Sales: Modern Sales entities purchase products from manufacturers, distributors, LADs, wholesalers, licensees, franchisees, C&F agents, and eCommerce for resale to distributors, LADs, wholesalers, licensees, franchisees, retailers, institutions, modern sales, and eCommerce. They operate at a varied nature and channel level, with no exclusivity and may deal with other branded products.

14. eCommerce: eCommerce platforms buy products from manufacturers, distributors, LADs, wholesalers, licensees, franchisees, C&F agents, modern sales, and other eCommerce sources. Operating at a B2C level, they sell products directly to consumers without exclusivity, potentially offering various branded products. Examples include well-known platforms like Amazon.in, Flipkart.com, and Big Basket.
